Production of latex products
Release Time:
Jan 11,2023
Since the natural latex was directly made into latex products in the 1920s, the production of latex products has become an important part of the rubber industry. In the 1980s, the consumption of rubber latex in the world accounted for about 10% of the total consumption of rubber. The production process of latex products is completely different from the processing of dry rubber. It does not require huge heavy machinery and various processes. The ingredients are added into the latex in the form of aqueous dispersion to make the ingredient latex, which is then gelled under the action of the coagulant. The wet gel is produced after leaching, drying, and sulfurizing. The production methods of latex products mainly include impregnation method, foaming method, injection molding method and extrusion method. In addition, there are electric precipitation method and microporous mold casting method, but they are not widely used. The production of latex products can realize batching mechanization, feeding pipelining, process continuity and detection automation.
